We launched our second season in Holy Trinity Church, Colne, again with a solo piano recital. The pianist on this occasion was Joanna Porter and this was her first professional engagement. She certainly looks pleased in the second picture!

For the 5th season we decided to invite Joanna again, this time in partnership with Robin Ireland, the viola-player with the Lindsays. A music society has to be prepared for arrangements to go wrong, which is what happened in this instance. Robin Ireland suffered an accident to his arm which made playing impossible. Joanna, however, was by now married to Roberto García López, an Argentinian tenor (top right), so the pair of them gave us a most memorable evening.
